Some of you may have seen some posts of mine recently where I'm wearing a bright green set of fingerless gloves.  For years I've been searching for a set of fingerless gloves that give me fair dexterity in my fingers, as well as comfort, UV and protection from the elements.

I purchased a set of the Buff Sport Series Water Gloves (M/L) size from REI on clearance, decent price at $17 or so for a pair.  I've used these gloves on several trips now and find that they are excellent for fishing and kayaking.  They're light, dry quickly and have a rubber palms that provide extra grip.  Nice thing is that at times when I don't want the rubber grip, I reverse the gloves so that the rubber faces outwards.  So far, the gloves have held up nicely, and the fingerless ridge seams appear to be holding up pretty well.

I really like these gloves and believe they're great for moderate conditions (not freezing) and would be a great addition to your arsenal.

They're still on sale at REI and also at EMS.  As you know, REI has excellent product support so you should feel comfortable purchasing from them if you're not happy with the product. The color selections are somewhat limited, and the colors are somewhat, aggressive, so you may want to search somewhere else for a different price if you're so inclined.

I have no affiliation with Buff, although to be fair I am quite the hotshot member of REI.  As I am a REI member, I am a part owner of the co-op and benefit from the profits of REI.  I believe last year my member dividend totaled in the single digits of dollars.

Thanks for the review. Do you have the glove on the wrong hand in that pic?

yup. i don't like the rubber side when handling fish as much. I use the rubber side when I'm paddling and need the grip.

I have been using the same gloves for about a year for fishing and hunting. They work great but have started showing some wear. I like them enough when they wear out I will get another pair. Also started using the neck buff and that helps alot with the sun as well.

Looks like REI has lowered the price to less than $13!  I'm buying another pair for the future when these wear out.
