Raiders stay where they belong!

Al Davis leveraged a potential move back to LA against the county of Alameda, in order to get officials to approve the use of $220M in taxpayer dollars to renovate the Coliseum in the late-90s. Then sued Alameda because the stadium wasn't selling out each game. The current posturing may be similar.

Way back when one of my buddies father was a shareholder too, seems their were about 7 of them, not sure what the structure is now.

I thought the PSL stuff was BS too, but probably cause no way could I afford one.

Ironic that the Raiders lost the bid to move...and it's being celebrated as a win by fans. I hope they can get a new stadium built in Oakland or somewhere else nearby. Until then, expect TommyBoy Davis to continue threatening to move the team for leverage.

It was definitely an odd juxtaposition last night. On one hand, you had the fans celebrating like they'd won the Super Bowl. On the other, Mark Davis looked like someone stole his puppy. And Libby Schaaf sounded like someone who had just received a death row pardon. Weird scene.
