Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself real quick and say how excited I am to start becoming part of the Kayak world.  My name is Miles……but my nickname actually is Sonar, so I will respond to both.

I recently moved to Santa Cruz, which being a tournament bass guy is kinda out of my comfort zone since my boat is kept on the Delta, leaving me without an option for getting on the water on a whim.  Problem solved!!  I am soon going to be receiving a Old Town Predator XL, which will get me back on the water every day.

Aside from being a tournament guy, I also do a bit of guiding on the Delta for bass and I co-host a fishing show that debuted this year called Sweetwater (www.sweetwaterfishingtv.com).

I really look forward to being part of this kayak community and an stoked to meet some of you and get on the water.

If anyone is around the SC area, drop me a line!

Welcome.  It's been awhile since I was a bass guy and once I started ocean fishing I haven't looked back.  Mostly because I live near the ocean now.

A lot of kayakers fish SC (me included). This time of year, there are not too many to be seen, but in summer, you can count on kayakers being out there all the time.

Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

Hi Miles.

Great to see you on here. It was nice to meet you at the Huk booth at discovery park. I still want to get out with you on Bullards Bar this spring!

Your are gonna love it. I grew up a bass guy, then a trout fly bum. Now an ocean guy. Your gonna love the similarities.

Sonar!   Good to see you on the board.  Now we gotta get you out so you can tell lies and brag a little......

As noted prior, I'm ready when you are.  I even have a kayak bass fishing hole I'd like to explore with you.  Nearby!

Bushy

PS no one has ever accused me of knowing how to catch bass.  I do know one thing only.  "Look for the bank transition areas."

that's it.  All I know.
