11/7/2015 Baker Beach Crab Derby

Aloha everyone,

we are hosting the 5th annual Baker Beach Crab Derby!!!

Its a pretty simple event, everyone shows up in the morning, there is a competitors meeting where we go over the rules, we crab, have an awards ceremony, then have a big crab boil/potluck on the beach.

Baker Beach has a challenging launch most days, but there will be friends on the beach to help people launch and land.

Its a fun family friendly event in san francisco

FYI, I added the Baker Beach crab derby to the 2015 Kayak Tourney list.

How is the launch at Baker Beach. Is it a surf launch?  I would like to do this but if it is a full surf launch I think I'll pass. And stick to Lobster in the harbors.

Can be pretty harsh but like anywhere else, depends on the wx.
