Joe bloodbath and I went out for a shoredive after work on Friday and found excellent conditions.  :smt004

Tide was really high so was able to work some areas that are usually too shallow/surgy.

Found a nice horizontal crack with a big old Monkey and shot him right through his neck. Taped out to 29 inches and my biggest so far this year:

Also popped a little black and yellow cuz I needed one for DOTY...smallest black and yellow ever entered in DOTY.  :smt005

Found a nice Golden Ling down at 45 feet that I took...beautiful meaty fish.  :smt007

Spent a bunch of time down at 50/55 hoping to find a verm or a sheep but no luck.

Took a greenling that I needed for DOTY, same with a little scallop that was stuck on the outside of a crack I know. Popped the scallop off with my knife and shoved it down the Ling's throat so I wouldn't lose it.  :smt044

It was nice not having to deal with a dive board, but the stringer of fish on my weight belt was pretty heavy by now so decided to head in.

Took some pics and had a few beers with Joe before heading home.

The fishies gave me enough DOTY points to put me in first place for now.  :smt003

Made the monkey into a nice ceviche.  :smt001

Here's a little vid and some pics.

Sincerely,

Jim
