If you want lighter, Revo 13 is lighter, the R16 is heavier, longer and harder to load/unload by yourself.  :smt001

Maybe harder, but not hard. I load and unload my Adventure (which is what they used to call the Revolution 16) by myself all the time, and I'm no muscleman. As long as you can wheel it to where you need to get to, there's no problem---and if you can't wheel it, any Hobie is going to be a nightmare...

I don't like stuff that sucks.

It would be a lot easier & fiscally-responsible to look for a used Revo 13 or Outback, instead of a new Revo 16. That way you can figure out if you really want a Hobie, before dropping a ton of $. The transition from paddle to pedal wasn't real smooth for myself--and at first, I often regretted my decision. It wasn't until I had significant time in my Revo that I truly appreciated the benefits it provides.

so basically you're telling us that there is no way you could explain regretting your decision to your wife so therefore YOU Love peddling a Hobie!   :smt005

...just saying it's not the end all be all. So try before you buy! For me, the Revo is my favorite yak of the ~14 kayaks I've owned.
I started covering my kayaks with a tarp "to protect them" but it's really so my wife can't tell how many kayaks I have at any given time. Also, if I just keep buying the same yellow color, she'll never know if I got a new one...! (pro tip)

Its not the dark side for those of us with upper body injuries.  It's just the only way I can get out without limiting my distance due to pain.  I hope it helps you like it did me.

This^^^^^^
But yea DG, it's still the dark side to those who cannot see the light.  :smt044

I have a broken elbow so I went with the outback. As of lately after two surgeries my legs get very tired. And I have a old knee that I used to dislocate. So far it hasn't bothered my knee, I'm still slow at getting out before the next wave. But what the hell for an old 62 yr old guy.

Just for you my Brutha !  :smt006           Shaping in the transducer scupper yesterday.   Deepened the Vee ( bow ) ...  widened and shaped a hard chine edge...   Those are just a few of the changes.    Speed & weight capacity is going to be the biggest improvement.    Would love to post a photo,,,, gotta be patient.
(  PS.   Might want to hang onto your Mirage drive.)

Any specific model of transducer you are shaping for?
