No pics ?   It didn't happen.     LOL...         I wonder how many times those things swim right under us and we never even have a clue.

  Great story!

Couple of weeks ago my line started peeling out.   Just as I started to put pressure on it the line went limp.    45lb braid cut about half way down.     I think a shark had it caught in it's teeth.    Who knows....

Wow Raydon that is a harrowing tale. I'm sure that experience and image is permanently engrained in your brain. Unreal

No, of course not.  In fact I found that my fear of San Mateo Coast was due Adam's experience.  Knowing someone that has been hit, has much more of an impact than just reading about it.

After reading about other incidents, I found that Marin County has more than San Mateo Coast.  I always thought the worst that could happen to me in Marn County was to get a snake eye from an aggresive bicyclist who was hogging the road.  :smt003  With the right group, I could try BH.

Glad the shark encounter is just an eye candy, Ray.
Earlier in the month I went out on PBs to PP. Saw a lot of fins on the surface here and there. Scared the hell of us. Turned out they are Mola Mola, the funny sunfish. One swam really close to out boats. Man that thing was huge. I'd say 8 - 10 ft in length? Big eyeballs the size of volley ball stared at us. Then slowly and mysteriously, it dove down and disappeared in the blue.

I had a similar thing happen in Santa Cruz a while back.

Are you planning on going even though August is over? With larger group and reasonable surf launch I'm in.
