I have Att and I like it. That being said whenever I don't have coverage my friends with Verizon always do.

Verizon has the best service  but yes there's a but.it also has the most expensive service.i pay 200$ a month for me and my wife with a 15gig plan
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Thanks for all the info guys. Looks like Verizon is the choice. I will probably look at a month to month plan that I can activate only during the summer months. I don't want to give up my att because I am grandfathered into the unlimited data plan and ot works great in my area. Tusks again. See you out there soon.

I have both ATT & Verizon, and generally have connectivity with one or the other in the outer boundaries.

But I also have a cellular amplifier which gives you an additional 50mile range; depending on terrain. When 4-wheeling in remote areas, I was not only able to get connection on both phones, my ATT phone had 4G and was still able to surf the internet, when no one else had any connection (until they put there phone on my RX holder.

But for ultimate backup communication, I have 2-meter radio.... :smt003

Here's the system I use:

Verizon.  And they ALL suck for customer service IMHO.

Yeah I have verizion also.. 180 a month for 4 gigs..   I always get a txt saying 90% usage. and have to be frugal about data at that point.

In a year without a phone I can buy a new hobie.

I am so glad to hold on to unlimited. I just buy a new phone outright.

I'm surprised to read that Verizon has the best coverage. I live up near Lexington Reservoir, within a mile of "the 17". We've got Verizon, and usually can't make or receive a call within 1/2 mile of our house. Other services all seem to work fine here.

Depends on your proximity to the nearest cell tower.  I was always an AT&T fan until moving to Boulder Creek, where it was spotty at best.  In our first place, had to walk outside, up stairs, to the parking spot to make or receive calls.  But with Verizon we can actually talk indoors now.  However when a cell provider wants to put up a tower, everyone in BC signs a petition to block it.
