Bye Bye sweet Betsy 😢

Got a text while at work that old Betsy was swimming vertically, dreaded coming home to see her in that state.  She was a good fish, euthanised her the ol parisian way, while CCR "As Long As I Can See The Light" played on Pandora.

Surprised how emotional it was, considering Thr amount of glee that accompanies putting RCGs by the tankwellload onto a stringer.  I guess the perspective has got me thinking now 

Anyway hug your fish tonight while u can!  Tomorrow they may b off to swim in that big Betta tank in the sky

I had a beta that I loved once...  My cats attacked it one day, and I walked into my apartment to find 3 cats standing over a fish flopping on the ground with cuts all over it.  I scooped him up and put into fresh water, and he survived after several days of cleaning the water and cleaning the wounds with q-tips.  And then I thought I was smart and put him high up on a shelf while I was gone for the weekend... and the cats got him again!!!! 

Aren't you a dad now...and you're feeling emotions for a dead beta fish? Ain't nobody got time fer that! 

pure sadness Martin.........we buried ours in the yard with their names on rocks as markers. Had a couple that lasted over three years!
