Imagine what your life would be like, even for a few days, if someone told you to live by "radial self-reliance" and "radical self-expression".  What would you do with your life?  Don't answer this question because it is different for everyone & I may not want to know some of the crazy answers that come about.  Something good to just think about and answer for yourself. 

To shed a little more light on these events .... 

Decommodification ... there is nothing bought or sold within the events.  Everything is free.  Everything is a gift.  If you are hungry, someone will feed you.  If you have extra food, feed someone.  No corporations promoting crap & such.

So part of my own social experiment for the next year is to try & live (reasonably) within these as guidelines to my own life.  A 'spiritual diet' of sorts.  Maybe not ALL of them since that is pretty tough to do outside on an environment that doesn't offer the amenities.

What a cupcake!

There was an event that out grew the L.A. area last yr and they had it at lake San Antonio last summer. I think they are suppose to do it again this yr. last yr there was suppose to be 30,000 people but from what I heard there wasn't that many. I went fishing after they had the event and I could see they had a very large part of the north camp grounds.

Lightning in a Bottle is Memorial Day wknd this year. They take over the entire north shore campground...which is currently 2 miles from the water, instead of ON the shoreline.

Looks cool.  Similar to a Burning Man event but not a BM event since they have a marketplace & sell stuff at it.  Still looks like fun though!
