I know Meng mentions them being in there since the 70's, but not in the numbers that we see today--and nobody really gave a crap about em until the last half-dozen years...which probably coincides with the increase in shad fishing in general.
I'm not sure what a grand slam would be from SLR but I'd replace Sac perch with sturgeon in the exotic grandslam category. It's a unique fishery, that's for sure.

The guy in the video must be a rookie with shad, you never put them up against your body like the to remove the hook.  That shirt will stay stinky for a long time.

I was doing some research yesterday and learned that Millerton Lake (reservoir on the San Joaquin) is recognized as the only American Shad fishery that is entirely landlocked.
