Have a buddy that's tagging along this year for GS and we're looking for a place to rent a kayak. I'm thinking maybe Headwaters in Redding, only they're not open sunday so returning it would be an issue (he lives in Sacramento) I dont think Adventure Kayak in Sac rents.

Any ideas? Anyone have an extra yak they want to rent for $100-150 for the weekend?

I have a viking pro-fish that you can rent borrow for $0  (courtesy of Headwaters Lodi).
It would be awesome if your buddy could get it up there and back, but I can transport it if that isn't possible.  I am in Sacramento.

I also have spare paddle & PFD (but no wetsuit).  PM me if interested.

That's a hell of an offer, but if for some reason it doesn't work out give Bryan a call at the Redding shop, he'll make something work...you can always drop it at my place Sunday and I can take care of it.

I would suggest renting a SOT from one of the businesses @ the Cove! Look up contact info for Lost Coast Surf Shack or Tsunami  Surf & Sport. I'd also do a google search for Garberville kayak rentals or Redway kayak rentals since it's on the way.

Please do try Lost Coast Surf Shack at Shelter Cove if you end up renting.

Thx.   :smt001

I will also have at least 1 if not 2 extras with me. If you want a fish Finder the choices are either a Wilderness Systems Ride135 or a Tarpon 160. If you don't need electronics I can bring a Tarpon 120, 140, 160, Ride 135, Ride 115, Thresher 140, or a Thresher 155. You decide and I will bring whichever you want.

Nice paying it forward Adam. I loaned you a kayak for your first GS and now you pay it forward. That's what NCKA is all about.

Incredible generosity in the kayak fishing community! I would do the same for anyone brave enough to go out on the ocean for a tournament.
