Hey guys,

I found this yak local and can get it as it sits for $500/cash.

The owner got a newer boat, and is looking to sell this one.

No paddle included, just the yak as it sits.

I'm in the Sacramento area if it matters for pricing.

It'd be my first kayak, just want something to get my feet wet so to speak.

Thanks!

-Logan

Thanks cam3087.

They wanted $625, i shot $450, they wouldn't go lower than $500 on it.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Then there's this yak;

Which I think is a better deal, I just didn't wanna drive that far, lol.

Looks like a 2007-9 model. That is a decent deal; not a smokin hot deal...but reasonable, if the yak is in good condition. It would be a good yak for multiple applications (lake, river, bay, ocean) and very stable. The stability and versatility make it a great choice for a first yak. If it was $300 I'd say great deal--but if it was $600 I'd say overpriced (especially since it doesn't include any accessories).

Also, checkout this site that scrapes info from regional craigslists.

For Sac area, put in gps #s 38.4149 and -121.3667. Or something like that.

I think I'll hold off. If it came with some accessories sure, but it doesn't so  I'll be in it 600 or more to get it fishable.

Thanks all!

I'm looking for a Ride 135, Malibu X-Factor or Stealth, or Marauder. Basically a stable first-timer yak.

Sports authority sells perception pescador angler models for $599. Score a 25 percent off coupon which is usually not that hard to find and it brings it down to $450. Complete with rod holders, paddle and anchor.
