Thanks for all the great input, peeps!  I'm going to sit down with the calender this week and start laying out logistics for the Spring.

How about something uphill.... Maybe Stampede?  There are many nice lakes in the Sierras.

I would think if you're planning them and doing the legwork on them then have the events where ever you like!  Who cares if the venue is outside of the area where Pac Outfitters has their stores.  Personally I think you've got a great list going with Clear Lake, Lake Sonoma, Lake Berryessa, etc.!!!  Being that I'm primarily a fresh water fisherman I'd be more than excited for events on those bodies of water as they are all multi species compatible and are some top producing lakes in terms of trophies!

I hope to see this come to be as I'd love to work these into my schedule with the Western Kayak Bass Series during 2015!!!

Another lake to possibly look at, depending on the number of participants, would be Lake Henessey over near Napa.

"I do not think IVR is open anymore and was all but drained last I saw. Please, please prove me wrong!

Indian Valley is improved to 13% full which is 3 times what it was last year. It has to keep raining!

Thanks Worm guy. Even if we get hammered this spring. And it's not looking good. I would assume most of the population has died off so it will take a few years of stocking to get a fishable population back.

Hennessy in Napa would be great depending on time of year. The launch and parking is small but can work. They do a well attended kids event at the lake every year. I doubt attendance would be much bigger than that.

Indian valley is at 53,700 ft . It holds 301,000 so it's not great but it's not terrible either in relation to the southern sj valley reservoirs

East Park. Stony Gorge. It'd be hilarious to have a herd of pigs come down through the campground at Stony Gorge the evening before the event and see the mayhem erupt. There are always the big lakes,  but there are small bodies of water here and there that are multi species and just don't see much traffic. I think the less used reservoirs would be cool.

The reason I did Sonoma and mendo was the camping there, nothing around fresh water...

Please keep is informed.  Even if you just put together a couple of "money between friends" events to gauge interest and see if it's worth planning something bigger and more official.  I'm always down for a little bass fishing competition!

We have started Yak-A-Bass NorCal on the Delta and have a pretty decent following so far.  Our first event pulled 18 anglers and this months event is looking like there will likely be 25 or so folks showing up.   Our first actual tournament will be in June out of Big Break Marina on the Delta.  I'm hoping we get 30 boats!
