Life is good!

Dear Mr. Sonny:

I represent the kayak angler known as Great Bass 2, whose recognition and high esteem in the kayak fishing trade is undisputed.  My client has  substantially exclusively used the phrase LIFE IS GOOD (the "Mark") as his farewell on favorable fishing reports for no less than the preceding 8 years.  The relevant kayak fishing community has developed a strong association with the Mark to Great Bass 2 in the context of kayak fishing reports.  As such, Great Bass 2 is the common law owner of the Mark in that field.

Your usage of the Mark as a sign-off in your recent SWS reports creates a likelihood of confusion, false association, and/or dilution of my client's rights in the Mark.  If you desire an amicable resolution, please make a charitable donation of one (1) lingcod baked chinese style to the staff dinner of the San Mateo SPCA along with returning to me your written assurance to immediately cease and desist usage of the Mark.

This offer of amicable compromise is open until the later of the date of my client's next posted fishing report or three (3) business days from this notice.  I look forward to receiving your timely response, in the absence of which my client has authorized me to formally elevate this matter, all rights reserved.

Respectfully,

.

I'm probably going to regret this, but.... I've been fishing the central and north coast since I was a kid and have no idea where SWS is.   Looks like Monterey area.   Do tell.
