Radio Shack Stores Closing

 

  Apparently the Capitola store in the Capitola mall is slated, didn't notice the Santa Cruz store listed, (could have zipped right past it though)
  No biggie for me has I haven't been in a RS in many years.

RatShack Closing?!?!  Oh No!!  Where will I get a battery for my cordless telephone?  Oh yeah... I don't have one anymore!

i bought an FM antenna sinal enhancer there a couple years ago......yes, i still listen to FM radio. Other than that, it seems they have alot of stuff you'd buy elsewhere for cheaper, online. I guess EVERYTHING will be like this soon.......except for buying food.

 

Ccrane has the best radio accessories etc in one place that I know of.

I can't remember the last time I saw a radio in a radio shack. I bought my handheld scanner there Well over ten years ago. Seems like it has been since then. It's all phones and cables now.

Safeway is online & Amazon now has 'Amazon Pantry' which is (limited) online grocery sales

i dont buy the food, i just eat it.......something not right about ordering food items online. How do you "click" avacados for ripeness....you know what i mean?

I hear ya!  No substitute for buying some things locally!

I feel cheated.

I walked into one the other day.  They didn't have anything like the stock they used to in the way of electronic supplies, and the two associates never said a word to me, even though I was the only other person in the store.  Good riddance, although I remember fondly when they used to have a good stock of parts.

I remember as a kid in the 70's I used to get a free battery once a month cause I had a RadioShack card.
It ain't what it used to be!
Maybe that's why their closing.

If you went to a radio shack like the one we have in town I can understand them closing. Sad but true we go in there, and no one knows much of anything.
