Mtry was socked in foggy as I drove by on my way to Carmel RSB, where it was clear, and as usual, offshore wind about 10.  Shore break a little bigger than I was comfortable with alone, so I went up to Coral St, but when I passed it in the fog without realizing it, I thought I'd just head home early, but as I got to Sand City, the sun peeked out, so I went to San Carlos St. and launched at 8:30 in clearing fog, no swell, NW wind 5-8.  Saw a guy fishing from a SI yak as I paddled out and up past the aquarium, where I got into the blues while tied off to the kelp inside.  I then trolled outside in about 70 FOW and picked up a larger blue, but by now the fog had returned.  I went back inside and got some nibbles, then headed in by noon, the landing a little bumpy.
As I drove home, I realized that the bay was just a big pool of fog, and it was mostly sunny away from it.

Thanks for the report. I simply have to get down ther before Rockfish close for the year--and before Lingcod do at the end of this month.

Thanks for the report Fuzzy Tom!

It was really foggy today...more so than normal. It was even foggy all the way up Canyon Del Ray where I work (its usually about 6 degrees warmer up there but not today!).
Sounds like you were able to make the most of it though. Good job on the rockies!
