I've been following this for over a decade now, and I'm still surprised it actually happened! It was a major undertaking to re-route the river, but the last storm caused Los Padres dam to spill over and flow down through the "new" section of river. So far, it's working. Now I'll be paying attention to the fish counts & number of steelhead that make it up to the los padres dam trap.
