I'll re post this from another forum for an old friend because he will be happy to know, and these words were spoken to me just the other day from the highest level in the F&GC: "finally! everyone knows now the abalone fishery is artificial"

Poor starfish...they should've migrated into an MPA...then they would've been saved!
