Thank you for being the one to point this out. I was thinking it just didn't want to stoke a fire.

I've heard some strippers can smell like anchovies...

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your input, even if it is wrong or misguided.
However, earlier this year I caught 22 stripers in one day. And I know guys who have averaged 50-100 stripers per year, for the last 6 or 7 years. Fishing between Santa Cruz and Carmel. Please don't interpret this as boasting or being untruthful--I am simply offering a counterpoint to the idea that striped bass can't be targeted successfully in Monterey Bay. Perhaps it will inspire someone to get off their butt & go fishing...which is great!

There's plenty of fishing going on here...it's just the wrong kind of "trolling"

LOTS of stripers in Monterey Bay.  Red or blue poppers, SP Minnows, fish traps.
