I fished from 7:10 to 8:45 and called it short because of the bumpy conditions and quezzy  stomach.  The launch was fine and I got out past the breakers and kelp before fishing and imediately hooked up with unlimited small and medium blues using a Mega bait with shrimp fly above.  The drift was fast on a NE wind with a big west well (measured at 10 feet peak to trough using my FF).  I kept drifting into shallow water, toward the point and big breakers.  I really had to keep an eye out all the time.  I caught and released a limit plus before I mangled one so bad while unhooking I decided to keep it.  At one point I had a double hookup with one 16-inch blue ( a real pig that I also kept).  My stomach was queezy so I paddled slowly back toward the launch while looking over the horizon.  It was a spectacular morning and soon the stomach settled so I stopped and fished agian.  I did this twice and on the last drop just outside the cove I landed a 17-inch olive and called it a day.  I was back on the beach before 9.  The stomach was fine as soon as I was on the hard.  I took my time loading up to soak in some of the warm sun.  What a beautiful weekend!!!

Yeah.  The Olives were wonderful this weekend but the swell......who invited it?!?!?

I came online to make a belated 10/7 coral street report, but will just tag onto yours!  Same story on Saturday, Jim and Stuart were launching at the same place.  Slow to start but started hooking into many small to medium blues.  I came in before Jim and Stuart, but I think they had a cabezon.

interesting side note, I havent felt seasick for years but felt a touch of it Saturday.  Maybe a bit of confused seas.  I was chalking it up to a questionable burrito but after reading Etiennes report I feel a conspiracy theory coming on... :smt003

Nice report, sackyak!

I might have to try your sea-sickness method next time. I got seasick for the first time this past wknd and it was not fun.

Thanks for the reports guys,
PK
