Sorry to thread jack but is the ground or cart better for storage? What kind in cart was it on, a flat one or the type that goes through the hull like hobie?

Never store on a cart.  It's just too much weight on one point.  Preferably store a kayak on its side.

Some kayaks are softer than others and will dent easier.  The Cuda should pop right back out. If you store a kayak on the cart, like a Wheeleez there is a chance that it not only will dent, but also start shaping like a banana. Not good to store with all that pressure on one spot. Also if you leave the Cuda on a kayak rack on your car in the sun there is a good chance of denting too. I would transport that one upside down, especially in the summer.

Why didn't someone warn me???!! :'-(

.... Ok so I was warned and I didn't listen I have been storing my yak on its wheels in the shop and noticed this nice fat dent when I took it out Sunday.  Now what??? It was mostly popped out when the day was over. Will it fix itself?  It's not really in an accessible spot in the hull where I could push from the inside.

The individual I purchase my AI from had the same problem.  It was in a hard to reach spot from the inside.  I placed 4x4 blocks and other boards until it was snug.  (long arms)  Then pounded a falling wedge in between two off the boards and left it in the sun, checking the tension on the wedge for a couple of hours.  It may just be the material the Hobie is made off, but this worked for me.  Good luck.

probably use a heat gun and a paintless dent removal tool and rub it out from the inside. best bet is talk to a paintless dent repair shop and see if they can do it. I have fixed many bumpera this way. wont be perfect like OEM but it will have its shape.

it will pop out.  Krusty's hot water tip will make it pop out quicker (like immediately).

When I stored my Hobie Pro Angler on Yakamia Mako Shark saddles it ended up with 4 good sized dents in the hull.  I got rid of the Mako saddles and changed over to 4" black ABS pipe running the length of the trailer to store the PA and the dents popped out by themselves just from being in a storage unit during the hot valley summer.

I did the same thing to my cuda  sun took it out. I built a PVC stand that worked great, but it was to difficult to move around. I wanted wheels so I copied another members cart (wbte) maybe? I put some 1" PVC on risers and the PVC flexs and cradles my cuda. My garage went well over 110 a week or two ago and my hull didn't bat an eye.
