Congrats on the first of many!
So what about a Salmon refresher posted as an article for this website?

I forgot to mention that on our way in, there was about a dozen sea otters just hanging out inside the harbor.....they were looking really good   :smt007 for a Filipino who couldn't catch a single fish this weekend..... :smt011

Sea otter over rice......hmmmmm. Anyone know the DFG regs on these critters?  :smt002

CONGRATES TO THE BRAVEHEARTS! (for the fish and staying alive) Wow! Sounds like I'll be waiting for the perfect day, not the perfct storm. Joel, did you feel seasick? When will this April stop acting like a March, I can't wait for May!!!!! p.s. No fish for me or Jen at Mendo but we were not fishing for long cuz of the wind. Jen got her first Ab though.

Lee - I never seem to get sea sick on the yak no matter how bad the conditions are  :smt017  Had I been on a boat that day, I would have blowing chunks   :smt078 I actually over heard some VHF chatter on a few of the boaters about some of their passengers getting sick when swell got active :smt088

Tell Jen congrats on her first Ab.  :smt038

About Mendo, John said he caught a 9 pound striper and that was it for the weekend. He will post later.

Stuart's article is up on the main page.

So did you use tray bait Sunday or did you guys catch your own?

We used tray bait. We could have made bait when were making our way out of the harbor - the bait was thick out there. We could see and hear the bait popping on the surface. We tried to fish the area for a little bit but there was too much boat traffic coming out and there were a couple of sea lions on the prowl.

Yeah, I saw John out there. He and Ken were headed in(rightfully so) as we were pssing the island. His striper looked about the size of his average catch out there(BIG). He was totally bundled up and I was sporting a tee shirt thinking "this isn't a good sign" :smt017 It seemed just as they were getting out of the water, the wind he warned us about just started blowing! That's when we began are U-turn. -Lee
