I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and I'm absolutely DYING to get my first kayak. I'm all good to go and even got some tax money back this year to put towards it. My problem is I need somewhere (better) to store it. I'll drag this thing into my upstairs apartment if I have to, but I'd like a better option. The smallest storage unit places are too much. I really need to store just the kayak.

Does anyone in the area know somewhere that stores them, rents out spots for a decent price, or someone renting space on Craigslist or something?

Humboats on Woodley Island was owned by a former NCKAer and the new owner recently joined--maybe check them out and see if they have storage space. I know one guy who just left his yak on his truck 24/7 for months because he lived in a small appt...so I guess that's an option too haha!

There's a storage place off the arcata/somoa strip that can hold the kayak. 12 by 5's run about 90 bucks or so around here

Do you have a friend or family that has the space in the  backyard  just to store the kayak? Maybe look into a downstairs unit to store inside. You can store upright like stores do or on its side

No I don't know anyone that I could borrow space from like that. I moved here for school and I didn't know anyone. Most people I know are living on campus. The storage places did have units downstairs, but as a student, paying >$35 a month is a little too much for me. Maybe I can have them cut me a deal as a student or something or if I commit to that space for a year or something?
