Hello everyone my name is Jason. I currently reside in Southern Cali but I'm originally from Central Cali. Monterey county to be exact. My wife and I loved surf fishing when we lived up there and we continue our love for surf fishing down south.

It wasn't til we moved down here that I discovered this thing called "Kayak Fishing".  Just a few weeks ago we found an awesome deal on a Hobie Mirage tandem. We've only been out one time so far but can't wait to see where our kayak ventures take us. My only regret is that I didn't discover this sport while we were still living up north. I still visit the area from time to time since my family lives up there and would love to meet up and learn from fellow NCKA members. Here's a few pics

Our first yak outing in the harbor. Caught a few sand bass that day.

Here's a few surf pics.  36.5in Halibut

39in White Sea Bass caught by my wife Tess

Never posted on pierfishing.com, but we do post up on fishingnetwork.net quite often.

Welcome!! Having an angler wife is priceless. They don't ask or complain whenever you want to go fishing but encourage you instead. I'm lucky my wife grew up fishing Marshall Islands (near Hawaii). She either fishes with me or gives me free passes every time. Tight lines you guys!!

I agree, I love having a wife that likes to fish as much as I do.  The funny thing is my wife used to think fishing sucked because it was boooorrrring.  :smt012  I told her that fishing doesn't suck, it was just her ex boyfriends that sucked at fishing.  Her first time out with me I took her to Santa Cruz pier with some fresh bloodworms.  She had a field day with the perch and has loved fishing ever since.  :smt007

+1
Though my current lady already liked fishing, she loves it now on the kayak and hooked a salmon her first time out.  It was soon after we were shopping for her new rod, lures, and all the gear she needs to land the big ones.
