Lover's Point - 09/08 am

Hit it up real quick this am.  The days are getting shorter so I am trying to get one or 2 more pre-work yak fishing trips in.  They were already setting up tents for the triatholon when I got there this morning at 6 so I had to launch at Otter Cove and paddle to Lover's. 

No apparent wind or swell but the drift was faster than it seemed like it should have been.  It was also in the opposite direction as normal.  The South Swell this am was almost as big as the NW swell but overall pretty flat.

Fishing was slow but not too bad . . just some kelp,gopher and blue rockfish.  They were loving the rootbeer colored twin tail grub and not so much for the FT's this morning.   

Remember . . no parking on Ocean View Blvd this weekend so Lover's, Otter, Coral St, Asilomar etc are all out.  Good weekend for Stillwater, Carmel or MBK and North.  Big Sur looking windy.

Wish I could go fishing before work...I have hard enough time making it to work by 8:30 as it is!
