Salmon Season

California should start stocking pinks and sockeyes for the recreational folks. Even though I have gotten my share from Alaska , I think y'all would have fun with these critters.  . Heck as much as the DFG and the CWRB have screwed up I don't think introducing an invasive species like these two species would do much harm.

I'm sorry but that sounds like a horrible idea to me. Currently we spend millions of dollars to protect native salmon and steelhead stocks which are in a precarious position. Adding planted exotics would be just another hindrance to these fish.
If you want pinks to return, I would concentrate on fixing the waterways where they are currently found. Fix the river and allow nature to do the re stocking by the laws of natural selection
I'd rather catch one King than 10 pinks any day.
