Searched on here, but didn't find any recent reports.  I did find one, but it was a short report about a skunk.

Has anyone been here lately?  Going there for the first time this weekend, will try for bass and stripers, and maybe trout.  Any advice or info about this lake?  I've heard about the narrows where its good for stripers, anyone know which part of the lake that is located?  Any info is appreciated, thanks!

No advice from me - I hate that lake.   Fishsniffer usually has some reports on it from the boat and shore guys.

Which day you going?  I might be there saturday in the tin can so I can run it around and take the daughter out.

I'll be there Saturday.  Will be on friend's alum boat as well.

Maybe I'll see you there!

Make sure your not carrying any rain water in your kayak.  I had a friend try to launch a few weeks back and the inspection found about cup of water in his kayak and said even if it was cleaned out, the kayak would be quarantined for 5 days before launching would be possible.

And that's why shadow cliffs is better.

Better fishing, no inspection, McDonald's 3 minutes away (Olivia loves the playplace and the french fries)

I might end up at shadow cliffs this weekend, it really depends on the wife.  She doesn't really want me to run the outboard since she thinks the little one will be afraid.  I think she'll love it though :) and that's why I want to go to DV.

I think it was this same time in 2012 when the crappie bite went off, right?

Itwas yes.  But I don't think the lake was as muddy then.

I think you have better chance catching trout at Quarry lake. there are NO MORE STRIPERS on that lake.

Yea, I heard the stripers are pretty tough to catch here, but did you see that link Bird posted?  There's still some monsters roaming around.

Besides, we're mostly targeting largies and smallies.  Striper and trout are just backup.   :smt003

Here ya go.

And people wonder why the trout fishing has gone to crap in that lake.  Those monster stripers pick off the trout like they're candy!
