In case Doug doesn't see this before tomorrow, they are launching from MBK/Delmonte beach lot. Doug said he's planning on being there at 0515 or so to push out right at dawn. Not sure when Alex is getting there. They'll be on ch 69 in any event.

Unless I talk my wife out of it, she has something to do in the morning and that ties me down until 0930-1000. Plus 2 hours to Monterey (or more in Labor Day traffic) and unfortunately i am scrubbing the mission. I guess it Mondo-Crappie fest for me tomorrow. Defintely want to hit ocean Sun or Mon--wife feels badly so more WAF points (though she doesn't feel _too_ badly obviously  :smt009)

I think I am going:

Lexington tomorrow evening (maybe)
Loch Lomond Sunday morning (for certain)
Lexington Monday morning (if I don't go tomorrow).

Depends on football and beer tomorrow.....

Frankfishing,

Talked to Surfingmarmot about my plans and he has posted them.  I intend to go early so I can take advantage of al much of the early, clam water as I can.  Will be on 69 as he mentioned.  Give me a call if you come out or post me here, I'll check this around 8 PM bcz I'll crash early.

Doug

Looking at the football schedule today (stanford vs. oregon then cal vs. tennessee among others) and the amount of beer in my fridge and the lack of my wife in the house means that there is no chance I am fishing this afternoon.

I will be at LL tomorrow, and lexington monday morning.

No prob. Have a great time.

I am thinking LL Monday but that would put us on opposite schedules. Any chance you'd do Lex tomorrow and LL Monday?

Sure, if that works better for you I will do it that way.

I have to try out these crappie nibbles.

Let's plan on meeting at LL on Monday then.  Did you get your radio fixed?

Passing for today--building a bait tube instead for tomorrow in case we can get some Anchovies for bait.
I'll be at Loch Lomond on Monday then.

Lex will be closed from only three weeks versus  LL will be closed until April.

Actually, Loch Lomond will re-open on March 1st after closing at the end of the day on September 15.  I just wish it stayed open thru October, since I live near it.

It would be an awesome winter lake.

They just can't afford the staff as it just would not draw enough people.

I'm actually getting pretty fired up for some crappie tomorrow.

I shooting for my limit and a full freezer!

Good luck Chris. If anyone I know can do it, it would be you. I am sorry I'll have to wait three weeks to get in there again, but I heard somewhere Crappie actually 'bust up Shad' on the surface in the Fall. So it might be worth hitting in October when it opens back up if that's true.
