1-11 or 1-12 striper

1-2oz Carolina rig... florocarbon leader 3' min... Hook and a large 3-5" minnow. Drop to bottom and raise back up 2-3ft and Drift/Wait... Minnow does all the work! when It goes all spastic (running) get ready!!! Oh and set your drag loose 'cause they hit like a train!!! Get out there!!!

Yep, Carolina rig. Delta channels don't tend to be that deep so I use 1/4 - 1/2 Oz egg & nose hook the Bluegill. I troll till I mark fish and them loop through the area a few times. IMO heavier weights will send the bait to the bottom and Bluegill are more likely to keep struggling against a lighter weight. Predators are also  more like to rise in attack on a skylighted bait than to go down after one

Nice, thanks again for all the tips. I can't wait to hook up with a striper. So hook the minnow through the nose you say? Let me know when you all are going out for striper. It would be good company and it would be nice to see everyone else's setup. For the fluorocarbon what lb test to you use?

6-10lb test is all i use. In a kayak u can fight big fish on light line pretty easy in a big open lake
