Thats a great way to document a great trip.  I have a couple questions about some of the the costs.  Say like the registration of the kayaks and the insurance of the vehicle.  Where were you able to take care of these items?  Was it insurance from your provider to cover you in mexico?  I've always punk rocked it when I've went to baja in my truck.  :smt002  JTF..

I don't remember the exact company we went with on the insurance, but we had to buy mexican car insurance.  American insurance is no good down there.

As for the kayak registry.  No one ever asked for it, but if you read the fine print about boat registration in Mexico it seems it's required.  Basically, the rule is that if you fish off of it you need to register it.   Here's the catch, in order to register a boat in Mexico you need to have proof of your CA registration which of course doesn't exist.  Eventually we found out that the Mexican government will except your serial number in lieu of an actual registration.  The Mexican Ministry of Boating and Fishing (or something like that) has a satellite office in San Diego and you can deal with all of that there.  But be warned, even though they are in San Diego, they still do things in Mexican time so give yourself a couple hours if you decide to go that route.

Cool Stuff!!! It was great to see what Biahia actulaly looks like and what it looks like to do it, STRONG WORK :smt004
I tried to set up a trip to start fishing from San Diego to Rancho Leonero in May, but did not have the WAF points or denero @ the time, so I was beached. :smt009  But, I did find an agency called " Discover Baja " Discoverbaja.com,  I think. I'll post the 800 phone # if anybodt wants it. They are extreamly helpful with everything, even gets you 10% (I think) off your stay @ Rancho!
You can ask them questions over the phone about drive times and what to expect and where to stay, and when I told them what I was planning, the guy I was talking to told me how to time it right for a Saturday night Pig party in Conception and then how to get to a great spot to fish the bay. Can't wait to find out if it's all true. Next year for sure, WAF points or Not...DANGLIN
