Right on Alex!

WTG Alex Nice catch Brodah!!!!

Nice fish Alex! Anyone know why the salmon are in SC harbor? Are they feeding on bait? Or is there a creek running into the harbor?

The parking lady attendant (whom you were evading in the past, Tim  :smt044) mentioned something about some organization (whether dfg or other private org) planting salmon in the harbor. I didnt really get all the details. Thats why she mentioned at times, the seals would flock in the harbor.

I remember when they would release salmon fry in Crockett. Best striper fishing ever!!! so many seals, birds, and fish around. one would wonder about their survival rate.
I like to have fun.......

Is the Harbor Patrol blocking kayaks from fishing within the harbor?

These are the salmon from the Salmon&trout program that they released in the Harbor and there just returning. The SC Sand Crab Perch Tourney That Allen Bushnell Puts on every year benefits this program.

It's too bad that they don't or won't have an opportunity to reproduce.

Woohoo Alex! Nice salmon bro.
Those fish are raised & released by MBSTP to supplement recreational salmon fishing. Most of them just return to the harbor in Aug/Sept and swim in circles because they don't know where to go. But some make it into the local creeks and attempt to spawn.
No kayak fishing in the harbor has always been the rule.

I quit fishing there a long time ago cause of that, not interested in "fistfight fishing."
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
