Bring salmon gear. I scratched out  3 fish there yesterday in the 3 hrs before sunset, even though the bite had been an early morning bite for the last  week. The fish are near the bottom in 70 fow. They are pretty much only biting on bait. No flashers. Quite few 40+#ers have been caught there this week, so be prepared. All the way from the red can to the Ritz...

What gear / bait are you using?
I used herring. Cable baiters and FBR's. Trooching would be my plan of attack on a yak.

I'd love to, but I'm 2+ hours away. I'm aiming at 6-6:30. If I know which direction you're headed I'll catch up.

Hey Ben / everyone,
I am not super familiar with the area but I was planning on heading out towards the green bouy area and then looking for other yaks / boats trolling / mooching.   If you want to meet up and head out together I would prefer that too.  I can really launch at any time so if 7 or 6:30 is what you were aiming for I can be there then.
Daniel.

That would be great. I was giving serious thought to getting up at 2, leaving at 3 ...  :smt012

See you at ~6:30 at the old peer?

Sounds perfect.   I will be there at 6:30 at the old pier.   I will be in my white Tacoma in a revolution.    Call me if anything comes up.  M510-207-0709.

Poe and I will be out there as well, planning to launch around 5-6am from the old pier. Primarily targeting salmon but if its slow or by some miracle we limit I'd like to hit the bottomfish. Does anyone have an intel on salmon numbers/reefs/structure or some good RF marks? Neither of us have fished HMB so any info would be great.
