Want to hit Doran Beach/Bodega Bay Saturday. Their web site says they're open to the public at 7am, but I keep reading posts about people launching out of there at 5:30am...

So can you get into the park before 7am? Are there other places to launch?

Thanks-
-Steve

Beach launch. Parking spaces available along the main road. Don't bother launching at the main ramp. There will be a long line of boaters prepping prior to launch. They might give you the stink eye if you drive pass them. Don't forget to self pay at the gate. $7 if I remember correctly.

Pay at the front gate then drive to the day use area at the end of the road. The gate will be locked until 7 AM as well as the bathroom.  :smt013 There is a parking area to the right of the gate. Park there and rig your boat. If you have beach wheels, bring them. Once rigged you can either cut through the campground to the beach or go under the gate to the day use area and then to the beach. The beach in the day use area is not as wide as the beach in front of the campground and has less surf but usually there is no surf. I may be there on Saturday for a short mission.

Can't make it out to PIF, but I'd love to make a donation. Is there a PayPal set up? I'll look into it.

It was good fishing with you GB2. By the way, I did drop off your wheels at Craigs today. Thanks again.    See y'all at Doran tomorrow.
