Bottle to pee in?  I just piss in the foot wells and let it flow down the scupper / urinal hole.

Seriously though, a relief zipper is a must.

A dry suit instead of a wetsuit.

Fresh water to dump on your reels after getting off the water.

I'll second Allan's Skwoosh pad, though I just use a chunk of closed cell foam saved from some computer packaging  :smt001. Gloves are nice when it's cold.

Not additional gear, per se, but having a number of pre-tied 3' mono leaders is a real plus. I have swivel to hooks, swivel to snaps, etc ... weight on a slider on braid terminated with a heavy snap-swivel. Easy peasey adapting to conditions.

It may sound funny, but one thing that I really hate to be without is a Fish Rag.  Something to wipe the blood, guts, pro-cure, sunscreen, etc to keep my hands clean.  But the truth is that less is definetly more when it comes to kayak fishing.  However I consider things like my gaff, lipgrippers, pliers, gps, compass, flares, bilge pump, throw rope and net to be essential items I have to carry with me on every trip.  But that FishRag is extra for sure  :smt044

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!   :smt005 :smt044 :smt044 :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

I had almost forgotten about that!  :smt002

One "extra" thing I like to have...I dunno....I think everything I bring I consider an essential:

-BowBungee and kelp clip
-HawgTrough
-Dive gear (speargun, floatline, mask/snorkel, weightbelt, fins, dive light, knife, watch, gopro)
-Stringer
-Bilge pump
-Paddle and leash
-Seat
-Gatorade/clifbar
-License
-VHF
-FishFinder
-DiveFlag

I do have a weight on a floatline that I use to mark spots that I see on my FF or if I am diving and want to mark something close to the yak and come explore it some more later....

When harvesting uni or abs I bring a mesh goodie bag to keep them all in one place.

Having a cold drink or two on ice back at the beach is REALLY nice.   :smt003

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

for me its a glove especially when fishing for rock fish. You dont really notice bass thumb until you have been fishing many weekends straight and your fingers are thrashed.

Plastic lip grippers, a short length of line 10-15 feet in the pfd use it for a bow line, tie off to kelp or tree or channel marker, emergency game clip, you name it. Last thing is a beanie in the dry bag. So nice when the weather turns nasty or the one you are wearing gets wet.

I use a foam gardening pad for extra seat cushion - really saves the day.

My extra essentials are a hat & sunscreen . . . but I've also been called "glow worm" so go figure. Sunburn sucks, though.
