I've got a couple buddies that have been doing recon with drift boats and there are big schools all over.   Plenty above Sunrise for sure!
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Just as an FYI for those of you not familiar with that stretch of river and may come tonight. Make sure you are fishing with barbless hooks as this area is in the barbless section. Also as another note only a single rod can be in the water at a time.

7.50 (b) Alphabetical List of Waters with Special Fishing Regulations

(C) From the U.S. Geological Survey gauging station cable crossing about 300 yards down-stream from the Nimbus Hatchery fish rack site to the SMUD power line crossing at the southwest boundary of Ancil Hoffman Park.

Jan. 1 through July 15. Only barbless hooks may be used./July 16 through Oct. 31. Only barbless hooks may be used.

2.00. FISHING METHODS--GENERAL.
Anglers in possession of a valid two-rod stamp and anglers under 16 years of age may use up to two rods in inland waters which regulations provide for the taking of fish by angling, except those waters in which only artificial lures or barbless hooks may be used.

Dang it! I have class at 6pm today or I would join you all. Maybe next time. I would love to float & tackle some Shade. I know between Watt & Howe is producing big schools of Shade right now.

Good luck and keep those lines tight! Can't wait to see the review/pics
