I think the term is "drive to stay alive".  Sometimes that does require some tactile, defensive driving ... but I do agree that there is parts of the video we ar missing that lead up to this incident.  What was he doing recording video while driving on the freeway anyways?

From my understanding he installed a  gopro hero 2 as a dash cam. Dash cams are becoming pretty common nowadays in case of a car accident, to proof who's at fault. I will be installing one in my car soon.

Makes sense but seems impracticle unless he is one of those drivers who likes to post pictures/videos of "dumb driver of the day" type stuff.  Someone on Hwy 17 used to post pictures like this daily on some blog site.
