What Ya Doing this Winter ... Side Projects

 

  No winter projects, but come spring time, I need to get my 82'CJ-5 running again, I have 3 70' tall Tan oaks (Fell during storms Mar 2012) to cut up, house needs new roofing, hardwood floors to go in not sure in what order all this will get done, (If any)
  The CJ, Need to replace fuel filter, I drained the old gas, inspected tank (It's still brand new looking in side) flushed the gas lines to the injector rail, Once gas can get to the injector rail I can test the injectors if it starts!  Hopefully it will and run normally.  $76 a peice for the injectors
  Brakes, the brake fluid will   probably need to be flushed & replaced, won't know this for a bit though.

Are you running a newer fuel injected engine or did you add a fuel injection kit to the stock engine?  I have a stock 77 CJ7 that I need to dump the old fuel and rebuild the gummed up carb to get it going again. 

    My step daughters just gave me this truck.  It belonged to their father who passed away from a lifetime of cigarette use.  Another of many I know that met the same ending, all too early. 
           92 Mazda B2200   198K miles on it.  5 speed.  has a few  electrical problems, but runs great.
   I went to the wrecking yard yesterday and  found a nice set of bucket seats out of an Izuzu to replace the worn out bench.  Had to make a few modifications to make them adapt, but worth the effort, these babies are comfy !
      Next I'm building a custom camper shell with storage for my 7' rods and ,, of course a rack on top. 
  The best part is it get's twice the mileage as my work truck, I got 28 mpg driving back from Manteca.
     Hope to have it all finished in time for a gulf coast road trip.

I have my 84 Ford BroncoII still languishing on the property. Had it tuned up just before it flooded with a heavy rain and killed the ICM. I need the standard resurrection stuff (battery. fluids) plus the ICM and relay and a new carb. Maybe a summer project
