Unless you are 100% sure of what you caught, and 100% sure it is legal season, size, and species, RELEASE IT!

Simple as that... It always sucks seeing posts like this...

Therein lies the problem... it seems he was 100% sure it was a steelhead.  Being sure of what you know doesn't mean what you know is right.  Here's to hoping this was just a rookie mistake, and a lesson learned.

I guess "100% sure" varies from person to person. In my mind, being 100% sure means consulting the reg book, and you can't flip through the sport fishing regulations without seeing the salmon/steelhead identification pictures...
