Glad you guys enjoyed the pics. It was a rough trip, and we planned it poorly. Riding from Lima to Quito in 20 days was a bad idea, leaving us little time to explore the mountains. The northern coast of Peru is one big desert broken only by the occasional river valley and lots of awful, dusty, miserable towns, and the outskirts of Lima were made up of the most vile, disgusting slums I've ever encountered. Round trip out of Quito would have allowed us more time to enjoy ourselves.

If I had to do it again, I'd go to Patagonia and fish for big trout! It was one of life's adventures, though.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...
