Well... as one would always say:

"It's not about the fish, but the fishing.... and the chilling!"
Boy did we live up to that phrase today. No fish were harmed during this FnC, but we had a great time chilling on this first week of the new year. Tri-tip, meatloaf burgers and flavored sausage were on the menu; along with great conversations with good friends. Thanks Eric, Ros, Al, Sara, Ty, Bill, Adam, Howard, Jedmo Nation and Scott for kicking it at the QL. Rain did show up until later in the afternoon; and dispite a few puffs of wind throughout the morning, it was I nice day. The sun tried its hardest to make in appearance, but it was just as elusive as the trout.

I think the pups had a funner time than the people! Gizmo had a blast chilling with his bud Kilo and meeting the girl of his dream "bacon" ????? But he did kinda start to freak out when the Jedmo Nation arrived; think he started having flash backs from his last encounter with Bear.

Had a great time chilling with Joel and friends, and it this is what 2013 has in store, I can't wait!

Here are some snaps from my camera....

ps: great shot Eric!

We should have this kind of FNC more often. Sure glad we were able to make the detour on our way down to my in laws. So happy to see everybody today. Sorry again Sara for not recognizing you, perhaps from you losing some weight or maybe you not having your signature bright green hat. :smt003 See you all again soon.

Had a great time seeing everybodys ugly mugs  :smt003 It was cold but everyone was dressed for it - but then again, most of who showed up are veteran "storm troopers"  :smt002 Only saw 1 trout caught from the shore but that's what "fishing" is all about (that's why they call it "fishing" and not "catching"). Again, thanks to all that showed up to brave the weather and just hang out.  :hockey:

*And since no one caught the winning fish, the kids rod and reel is still up for grabs. Stay tuned for the next NCLA fish&chill event :smt001

Man that sounds like a fun time. and a great idea too. Sometimes it's really relaxing to ditch the yak & fish from shore...talk about going minimalist. Thanks for the report & pics guys!
