Thanks, I'll be doing that ravensblack.
That sounds like sound advice cawingshooter, looking forward to June.
PISCEAN those are some of my favorite spots around town. Love Moma Carine!
Thank you KayakJames. I have already figured that the Noyo is going to be useful. I have friends that live at Dolphin Isle and that is going to be my yak's home.  The Noyo looks like a great place to start exploring (and gaining a little competence). The fishing seems to be fairly good around the headlands too.
Any special little places I should know about? Hello mako1 and thanks, as soon as I get my kayak I just might be taking you up on that.
Mr.Matt, the Cuda does look interesting but I was looking at a less expensive kayak for my first one. I have been looking at the Perception Sport Pescador 12 and rigging it myself. If you or anyone else have any ideas on that model I would like to hear them.
Jedmo,  Fish Master1,  sonoramike,  dune12 LoletaEric, DaleL, thank you all for the great welcome! Already feeling at home here and looking forward too getting to know all of you better.

Hi Will:

Noyo has it's own smell because of the DIESEL. Noyo is still a nice place but,
I try to stay away from Pwr. Boats. :smt044
The North Point by the Glass House at Vandamm has a nice spot for Lunch.

                                                                                 Regards

My main reason for choosing Noyo is free storage at DI at a friends place. Second reason is that it's a just a short walk and then a quick swim from my place to where it will be stored.  Reason this is important is that I don't drive unless it's a real emergency because of vision problems. I see forward just fine but nothing on the sides and I'm just not safe enough in my opinion. I like VD and the launch at the Glass House. I have dove and used an inflatable from there a few times. Another good launch is Russian Gulch SP if the seas will allow it. There is good structure along the southern face and it's fun picking crabs out of the bay there.
