Hey guys,
Purchased this about a 2 weeks ago. Tried it out for a few days and decided I did not like it. Tried returning it to Sports Authority but since I lost my receipt the only wanted to give me the lowest price the unit has been in the last month....$20 and I paid $120...There full of it!
Since its basically brand new I'm looking for $100.
Let me know if you guys want some pics. Original box and packaging. Thanks,

GS

If you used a credit card you can have them retrieve the information from your card #. If you used cash good luck without the receipt. Don't let them tell you they cannot do it I have had it done at Sports Authority. Also you can get the receipt from the card carrier.

Bump :smt001

I paid cash. So I'm screwed. They checked to see what the lowest price was witin the last month and they said $20? for a unit that was originally $240? I don't think so.
They said the best they could do was $60. Prior to buying the unit I had gone to that particular store about 1 month before and the price was $109. And it was $109 when I bought it.

This unit is still available if anyone is interested.
Thanks,

GS

That is one of the best handhelds available for yakking! Oldie but goodie, and now more affordable.More rugged than anything out there. Way quicker satellite acquisition/accuracy than their newer stuff. Load that sd card up with maps and youll be surprised at the detail. The small screen is its drawback.

Sharky,
What maps do you use with this? I'm planning on fishing lakes and ocean.
Founds some maps on the garmin website but not sure if they'll work on the unit?

Honestly, I'm a tech clutz. I gave my sd card to my buddy and it came back stuffed with maps. Ill have to check but I believe it's Garmins maps. Bluechart or something. Ill check.

Thats what I was afraid of.  Dishing out another $100-$160 for maps.
I was hoping to spend that money on a fishfinder unit. But Looks like I'll have to dish out for the maps if no one buys. I guess it would be nice to have a good gps with good maps. Looks like I'll have to delay on getting a fishfinder unit.

Great Bass,
The BlueChart G2 maps work on this unit?
How does the bluechart look. Pretty killer detail for the price?
Thanks,

GS

Yep, kind of a rip-off and the map is unlocked to only one device. If you fish near SMR's they are really awesome because the boundary is drawn on the map.

The Blue Chart G2 maps are excellent but expensive. You have to go to the Garmin website which will tell you which maps can be used on which devices. I have a Garmin 60 CSX and the charts work great. I fish the edges of SMR's from time to time and they are really helpful so for me worth the price.

Love this buisness plan.

You can buy our fishing rod but you can only use it with our reel on one boat.

Good luck!

Thats why I'm totally shocked to see unlocked versions all over the intertubes.

Sharky,
How did your friend hook you up?
Maybe I can find a way to reduce the price?
Let me know,

Gs
