The uni-butter is some good looking stuff as well. It needs to be taken out of the container it comes in and put into a some tupperwear. It doesnt come out easy at all. Its a butter no doubt.

I just got a new bottle of Uni butter & they put a flip cap on it, like you would find on a shampoo bottle. Once the butter warms up a little its a much cleaner application with the new packaging. Wayy better than the old type.

Both have their pros and cons in my opinion, so I've always use both.

It's a good idea to have a rag with you for using the gel, to wipe off lures before storing them, that stuff gets everywhere.

What I do is place all my used swimbaits, jigs, hooks what ever I used that day in a extra tupperwear container that I carry. When I get home it gets soaked in Lemon dishsoap and then a good rinsing to make sure all the soap is off. The stuff does get on everything but having it in all over your tackle could be a good thing during the trip. Cant hurt will cover up your hand scent if the fish our really that picky.

Scents for RF/lings?  Other than tipping with squid, I've never used scents on rf/lings... didn't know others did... although I've used it for halibut.  I guess it would work, just seems like u could save the money and buy squid.  Good luck and hope to see a monster report

Peace!

Dont think buying Squid would save you too much money since these bottles our 5 bucks and you dont need much just a little bit and its good to go for a good 30 minutes. When you can stop feeling the oils left on the swimbait re-apply. One bottle last me well over a dozen trips of applying often. Squid ends up just getting smelly and doesnt do it for me like art said it will end up getting left somewhere if your me. LOL

Some guys swear by squid. But try scent on some plastics and your bite ratio will improve and you may not go back to the squid.

The oil is harder to control application so that does get used a little faster then the gel.

Good too know. Have they made the stuff less buttery. If sticks thats for sure. I have had a hard time getting it to pour out. I will give it a try in the future.
