Howdy Eric
Look under the heading "Places to Launch and Camp".  Lots of directions to fishing places...........welcome to the neighborhood.
Saltwater is the cure for everything that ails us,
sweat, tear or the sea.

Hey Eric!

I second Seabreeze's sentiments.  This board is the right spot to figure out where to go, and what to do when you get there.  Also includes who to do it with!!

If you are launching at DelMonte, go straight out and hook a right past the kelp beds.  Paddle over to the red can buoy and start fishing.  Drop a swimbait, or a sabiki rig with #10 or #8 hooks down to the bottom for halibut or sandabs respectively.  Careful, you might catch some rockfish or a ling cod by mistake.  Be sure to release unharmed as it is not open season for these fish yet.  Halibut have to be 22" to keep with a limit of three, and no minimum size or bag limit for the sandabs.

If you are going to be fishing, whether you keep fish or not, you have to have a license....big fines otherwise.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Allen
