What a great site to read about shark sightings and attacks.  Reminds me that we are fairly far from the top of the oceans food chain.  To be honest, I am quite suprised we haven't seen more attachs on kayak's as the sport grows increasingly more popular.

Front page of yahoo with a less than complimentary heading - like it is a fabrication or embellishment - complete with a picture of the movie poster from Jaws.

"California kayaker claims great white shark rolled him over"

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/kayak-shark-attack-california-kayaker-claims-great-white-155903688.html

Lesson:  Pics or it didn't happen.

I think it is only a matter of time before one of these attacks ends up caught on video.
From the article:
"Unprovoked shark attacks are pretty rare, even in California."

Yeah, not so much in our community...

We will be getting a donation pot going to Joey in the next couple days to get this guy a new yak. Never good to have this happen and nice to show the support of your local brothers that fish the same water.

I would try and talk to Cobra Kayaks about getting him a new yak. I am sure they would love to help him out. I saw they posted about this on their facebook page.

Well looks like thats what Happened Cobra took care of him 100%...
