Dude you have the aids watch out! Joking aside if it's a saltwater fish you were probably looking at Anisakis/seal worms. Unless you eat them uncooked and unfrozen they will not infect you and typically an infection is not life threatening.

Thanks, hopefully I don't get infected that's scary.

I plan to do as much ocean kayak fishing as I can, and I know there is some risk that must go along with the adventure, however, I don't think I would view my life as unfulfilled if I never have an experience like that.
