If you want to launch on the beach behind the north jetty, that is, north and east of the north jetty, then you take Jetty Road, which is about 1/4 -1/2 mile north of the Kayak companies and the launch ramp.  There is a gate on that Jetty Rd., but I've never seen it closed. Put your flashers on and signal well in advance of the road, because in the dark, no one will be expecting that there is a road there .
Go all the way to the end of the road, and the place to launch should be obvious - the jetty extends into the harbor water, so it makes a protected beach to the north side of the north jetty.   Wheels are nice, because it's a 50 yards to the water, but it's bumpy.  Then you can look across and watch the circus on the other side of the harbor, and if you want, you can walk across the berm to the bay side and check the conditions, just be aware that it is  shoal to the north of the north jetty, so the swell builds some as it reaches the shore there - which the surfers like, but returning yakkers should avoid cutting that corner on the way back into the jaws.

The north part of the lot in front of MBK moss landing has a ramp and the left of the ramp is a small beach where we launch the kayaks from. bring $8 for the iron warden and be careful in the jaws.  I got waked there last year.

Do you guys want to meet up at 6:00 and launch at 6:30 instead of 7? I'm thinking the earlier we head out the better it will be. Let me know if this sounds good.

I'll be out there with you guys. Looking for a 6:30 sharp a.m. launch time.  The bite has been at the break of dawn. If you snooze, you will lose. I feel some good juju for tomorrow. See you guys at the launch.
