Sweet, HamachiJohn and I will be there about 6. Does anyone have a banana weight I can use for mooching?

Yeah, I got your a** covered for banana weight.  I got your bait, didn't  I?   :smt044
Seriously, I got the weight for you.

FuzzyTom also has a nice report from Coral St, so let's meet there and check out the conditions.

Guys, please be careful at Moss.....

Lots of PB traffic there, and the entrance can be horribly dangerous esp in a kayak, and ESP with a 6-8 foot swell.

It's not really a place for newbies.

On the other hand, if you launch and land successfully in poor conditoins, then you're not really a newbie anymore.

PFD's and VHF's!

and, GOOD LUCK!

Allen

+1 on that. Etienne and I launched last year at grey light for the Pajaro and a PB waked me at the jaws and over I went. Didn't lose anything but a crappy way to start a long day.

I tried to grab my alarm battery and that did not go well.  Alarm noises in the house, then the alarm company called.  Can't say I didn't try!

Trolled our asses off today. 8 guys = 0 salmon. Rougher than expected--some launched from Coral and others at Lovers. When the wind picked up it turned into a washing machine outside Pinos. Not fun, so we hustled back to shore. We got quite a workout...at least I did, my wrists are still wore. Accidentally caught a ling and 2 blacks on a hoochie devil and hoochie/bait combo about 50ft off the bottom. Bait was scarce. Wish I had better news to report but that'll have to wait until next time.

Had 1 decent mark with arches in 230' at 120' but I was trolling 55' or 60' and it took me a minute or so to make it down to 100' frantically pulling line off. Wasn't quick enough and didn't have any strikes all day. Had a great time though fishing with guys and can't wait to do it again. Shellback and hamachijohn hope that landing went well dudes it looked gnarly from my angle. :smt005.

In regards to the last trip I switched to the 1.5# ball with the sinker release from the deep 6 and it seems to be much better at staying under the yak.  It also took the ball half the time to get to depth but then again I need to try the double deep 6. I was marking the rig all the way to 100' on the sonar which made the day actually fairly easy depth control wise. I may need bust out the Avet Lx for the 2#er though. Troll speed was great with the ball and I could definitely maintain 1.5mph with the rig still under the boat. I will post another hookup again maybe next week depending on weather.

Shellback, Sin Coast, neighbor Josh, Hamachijohn, Meathunter and Meathunter brother and friend. It was great fishing with you all.  We will have to do it again soon.  I slept really well last night.

Thanks for the report, even the skunk reports help the rest of us figure our next move.   I never saw a bait ball the other day, and after 10:30, conditions were bordering on getting out of hand, but they hung out just under that line.
