Dry Suit Footwear for Hobies

i use some cheap swim shoes (speedo brand) they slip on kinda like a trim version (with an actual heel) of a crock. I get them 2.5 sizes big. that way I can add warm socks for colder temps. yeah some small gravel gets in but is usually round pebbles and I just swish the foot in the water and it comes out. I think I paid a whopping $10 for them at costco or payless...I saw ChuckE with them and figured if the zen master has em I better get in line

I like the crocks idea but I would worry about rocks getting in a cutting up the drysuit material and voiding the warranty. Has anybody had an issue with that.

how are you guys that use sandals dealing with gravel and sand that gets in between the sandal and bottom of the drysuit, that can't be good for the drysuit.

If I'm going to be walking on soft sand or a clean concrete ramp then the sandals are fine, but if I know there are going to be lots of pebbles or sharps rocks then I wear my booties and make sure the adjustable pant cuffs are pulled over them securely.
